Unlike any Chess Board
The in2Chess eBoard is built around a simple vision: to create a fast and intuitive chess board that is functional and beautiful at the same time. We built the eBoard around a solid frame to support our new revolutionary playing area crafted in new materials not seen before in any chess board.
Our eBoard is helping both beginners and experienced chess players to improve their chess skills.
Besides the Artificial Inteligence Chess Engine we have embedded the elements that define a great chess experience. With our advanced functions: Rules, Guidance and Assisted Help embedded in the eBoard beginners and experienced players can play aganst each other without using time on explayning the rules of the game. Rules, Guidance and Assisted Help stteings can be set in the app on the beginners side of the eBoard so the beginner can learn on the fly from first game played.
The eBoard App enables the chess players to set up the game in a way that fits their level of expertise (and full adjustments can be made throughout the game).
With the use of Split configuration, it is possible to tailor (turn on and off) the game settings Rules, Guidance and Chess Engine Levels on each side of the eBoard. Future deployments and new functionalities are updated via the eBoard App.
The chess software embedded in our app uses one of the strongest AI chess engines in the world (Stockfish 10) including 20 levels of difficulties. The chess engine can be set to automatically decrease or increase its strength against the player. The player can at any given time in the game adjust the strength
Understand and learn the chess piece movements rules-in real time-when playing on the eBoard. Together with our advanced sensor arrays the control software on the eBoard we can display the chess piece rules-in real time-when chess pieces are lifted or moved on the playing area
Real time guidance will enable the player to gain the best possible position against the AI chess engine. Real time guidance shows the player what the chess engine expects to be the strongest move against its own calculation-in real time-and thereby allows the player to think before moving own chess piece to get the best possible position against the AI chess engine
We have developed two settings for the real time guidance:
Guidance Mode 1: indicates the strongest counter move to the AI engine after the player has set his/her chess piece on the chosen square
Guidance Mode 2: shows the player instantly the best move when player is lifting own chess piece before it is set. Hereafter the player can decide whether or not to follow the guidance
The Assisted Help can be activated by pressing the Assisted Help button in the app. The eBoard memorize the current position after any valid chess move. This makes it possible for the AI chess engine to calculate the best move instantly when the Assisted Help button is activated on the app. It can be used in any given game setting on the eBoard
Training Mode is set for beginners to learn the game step-by-step.
We have programmed our software to enable training on openings.
Three Steps to Improve Your Chess Game
We have created a three-step introduction to chess. First, the player is introduced to the chess rules. Second, the player learns to compete against the chess engine or another player with the support of Assisted Help. The third but not last feature, the player can make use of our new radical Learning Mode that will correct and guide players’ moves in real time against the chess engine.
Radical, yet completely logical
The eBoard looks unlike any other chess board. By rethinking the game experience, we reinvented the entire concept on how a modern chess board should look like. Our design represents a radically new approach with the playing area made out of faded white opal perspex material. The eBoard with is futuristic design and new functionalities is unique and represents a radical enhanced way of learning and playing chess as well as novel tool to connect us with each other across demographics and borders.
The eBoard Frame is made by black laminate and the game area is a laser cut opal acrylic perspex material
